Connecting to Eduroam - Android Mobile Devices (Android)

These instructions will assist you in connecting to the Eduroam wireless network on your Android mobile device or Chromebook. 

Connecting to Eduroam on your Android Mobile Device

  1. Go to your phone's wi-fi settings by selecting Settings > Wi-fi.
  2. From the list of connections, select eduroam

  3. Enter in the following information:
     

    For Devices on Android 14:

    EAP method: PEAP
    Identity: Your NetID username
    Password: Your NetID password 
    CA certificate: Use System Certificates  
    Domain: portal.connect.unr.edu
    * Select the ⏷ View More Button for additional settings
    Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
    Anonymous Identity: Remove the word "Anonymous" so the input is left blank
    MAC address type: Phone MAC

    For Devices on Android 11 - 13:

    EAP method: PEAP
    Identity: Your NetID username
    Password: Your NetID password 
    CA certificate: Use System Certificates  
    Domain: portal.connect.unr.edu
    * Select the ⏷ View More Button for additional settings
    Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
    MAC address type: Phone MAC
     

    For Devices on Android 10 and Older:

    For a consistent and secure connection to eduroam it is recommended that Android devices be running Android 11 or newer.

     
  4. Once the information is entered select the Connect button. Your mobile device is now connected to Eduroam!
