Box Apps for Personal Computers

The following instructions demonstrate installation of Box Drive; however, other Box applications can be installed in a similar manner. These instructions can be used to download applications on either PC or Mac. 


How to Install Box Applications for Personal Machines (PC)

  1. Log in to NevadaBox and click on your initials in the upper right hand corner. Then, from the drop down menu, select App Center.

  2. You will now see the list of Box Applications. For a list of the most popular and official Box Apps select the Official Box tab. The three most used apps by members of the University are:
     
    • Box Drive
    • Box Edit
    • Box for Office

    Select Box Drive to continue.

  3. To begin the installation, select the Add button.

  4. A window will appear with information about the permissions the Application you are installing will require. Click Proceed to continue.

  5. You will now be redirected to the page for the app install. Select the Download Box Drive for Windows if you are on a Windows machine, otherwise, select from the list of Box drive installers located further down the page.

    Note: Application installer files are hosted in different locations and depending on which app you choose an additional log in via your NetID and password may be required.

  6. Open the installer and follow the steps to complete installation on your computer.
