Ready to make a payment in MyNEVADA? Use the steps below to learn how to navigate the payment system.
Accessing the Make a Payment Option in MyNEVADA
Click on the Finance navigation tile link from your Student Homepage, which will take you to the Finances navigation.
Select "Make a Payment" link/icon on the left-hand side menu. This action will open a new window in your browser and direct you to the "Make a Payment Process.
How to Make a Payment
Step One: Select your payment method
Within "Make a Payment Process," you can select either "Credit Card" or "Electronic Check" from the drop-down menu. You may use the "Credit Card" option to pay either by debit card or by credit card. Electronic check payments may only be made from personal checking or savings accounts. Corporate checks are not allowed.
Step Two: Specify your payment amount
After selecting your payment type, you can review the current outstanding charges on your account and choose an amount for your payment. Ensure your payment amount is correct and click the green "Confirm" button/link on the top-right corner of the screen.
Step Three: Confirm payment amount
After confirming your payment amount, you must enter your payment information for your debit card, credit card or electronic check. To proceed with a payment, you must have cookies and Javascript enabled in your browser or on your mobile device. Once you are ready to continue, click the green "Confirm" button/link on the top-right hand corner of your screen. You will then be prompted to enter the payment information for either your credit/debit card or electronic check.
Step Four: Complete third-party page
There are two payment options: credit/debit card or electronic check.
- Credit or debit cards. If you selected "Credit Card" or "Debit Card" as your payment option, enter your card number and click the "Continue" link. Next, enter your card expiration date and security code (typically a three-digit number on the front or back of your card). You will also be prompted to update the Cardholder Billing Information, including the billing address, city, state, postal code and country associated with the card. Once you have enter this information, click the "Continue" button/link.
- Electronic check. If you selected "Electronic Check" as your payment option," you first need to select either checking or savings account. Next, enter the bank routing number and account number. Remember, only personal checking or savings accounts can be used. Corporate checks are not allowed. After completing the account information, complete the Billing Information section, which includes information such as your address, city, state and postal code. Once you have completed the required payment information, click the "Continue" button/link.
Step Five: Submit your payment
After entering your payment method, you will be prompted to review a summary of your payment information. Make sure the information is correct and click the green "Submit" button/link on the top-right hand corner of the screen to process your payment.
Step Six: Confirm payment result
After submitting your payment, a green check mark on the screen will indicate your payment has been accepted.
After completing your payment, you need to close the window that you are in to return to your Student Homepage.
Mobile phones and cross-site tracking
The "Make a Payment Process" requires the same steps on your mobile phone, as on a computer. However, if you are using a mobile device that prevents cross-site tracking to make a payment, you will need to disable that setting before you can move forward.
When you get to "Step three: Confirm Payment Amount," your screen will display a message about enabling cookies and JavaScript. Please ensure you have also disabled the setting for preventing cross-site tracking.
Google Chrome
If you are using Chrome and receiving and error regarding your cookies, follow the steps below to fix this.
Step 1: Open your chrome browser, type chrome://flags in the URL:
Step 2: Type samesite in the search box at the top of the page. Change the setting for SameSite by default cookies to disabled, as well as Cookies without SameSite must be secure to disabled:
Step 3. Hit relaunch at the bottom of the page to update your settings:
Step 4: Now that your settings have been updated navigate back to MyNEVADA to make your payment.
Please note: If you did not hit relaunch your settings will not update.
