Getting Started

To get started:

  1. On the wall by the door, you will find the control for the projector screen. Lower the screen.

  2. On the cabinet you will find the keyboard and mouse. You will need to turn the keyboard and mouse on; they each have an on/off switch on them. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Also on the cabinet is a small touch screen. Tap it to wake it up and you will see this screen.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Touch the screen again to start up the system.
  5. Wake the computer up by pressing the spacebar or clicking the mouse. If the computer does not wake up, you may need to turn the computer on. Located in the cabinet. Please do not touch anything other than the power button. (Indicated by the red arrow)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Enter your NetID and password to login.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Once you land on this screen you are logged in and ready to use the conference setup.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Before you get started with any meeting verify the audio is going through the correct speakers:

  1. In the bottom right corner of your screen click the volume icon.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Click the audio settings icon on the right of the volume bar.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Under output devices ensure “2 – Crestron” is selected. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

The touch screen on the cabinet has a few controls:

PC – This will use the computer already in the room.

Laptop HDMI – if you bring your own device that you wish to use you will need to plug it in to the wall next to the projector controls with an HDMI cable.

Wireless Display – This requires an app but is possible. Contact UAIT if you wish to use this function.

System Off – This will shut the system down. Make sure you are logged off before shutting down.

Audio Mute – This will turn the audio off in the room.

Volume Up & Down – This will turn the volume up and down. The bar with arrows on either side of it is the volume control for the speakers in the room.

Shutdown / Cleanup

  1. Close all applications you have opened.
  2. Sign out of the computer.
    1. Click the windows icon at the bottom of your screen.
    2. Click on your account in the bottom left of this window.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  3. On the touch screen tap “System Off”

    1. It will ask if you are sure you want to shut down or go back. When this message times out the system will continue with the shutdown.
  4. Put the projector screen away. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Turn the keyboard and mouse off.
