Course Revisions and Updates

General Guidance

Welcome to the NEVADA Online course updates page. Please submit requests for updates to the online Base course you developed here.

Process for Updating Base Courses

Existing Faculty Course Developers who would like to submit course updates and revisions, must do the following:

  1. Submit a ticket indicating whether the revisions will be Minor or Major, and include a brief description of needed revisions.
  2. Once a ticket has been submitted, an Instructional Design team will:
    • Reach out directly to you about moving forward with revisions.
    • Explain the process for how to do so and schedule any meetings, if warranted.
    • Establish deadlines for revision submission prior to the start of the next semester.
  3. Revisions are sent to the Instructional Design Team to be implemented to the Base course. Faculty Course Developers are provided Non-editing Teaching access to the Base course and will not be able to implement their own changes.

Types of Revisions

In your ticket, please indicate if your revisions are Minor or Major:

  • Minor: Text edition updates (e.g., page and chapter numbers), minor assignment and learning activity adjustments, minor edits to verbiage and/or data, minor change to 3 or less existing videos and/or instructional materials, etc.
  • Major: Curriculog and/or Student Learning Outcome changes, new texts (books and/or articles) that necessitate changes to instructional materials, new recordings to 3 or more videos, rearranging modules and presentation of information, re-building new large assessments, etc.

Important Notes

  1. After submitting a ticket, please wait to hear from the Nevada Online team before emailing team members directly about revisions.
  2. Nevada Online will do their best to accommodate your course revisions if they are submitted within a reasonable timeframe. Revisions submitted within one week prior to and after the start of the semester may not be completed.
  3. Changes made to blueprinted courses during the semester are not automatically applied to the Base course. If you made any changes while teaching, make sure to submit a ticket so that those updates can be implemented in the Base course.
