Forget a Wireless Network on a macOS Device

Issue

I need to forget a wireless network on my macOS device

Environment

This article applies to the UNR wireless network

macOS X 10.10-10.15

Cause

You have reset your NetID password recently or receive errors when attempting to connect to Eduroam on a university owned or personal macOS device.

Resolution

  1. To forget a wireless network in macOS, find and click on the wi-fi symbol in the top right menu bar
  2. Click on "Open Network Preferences" from the menu
  3. Click on wi-fi
  4. Click on the "Advanced" button on the bottom right
  5. Find Eduroam in the list of known networks and click on the - (minus) button
  6. Once removed, click OK
  7. Click "apply" on the bottom right to confirm removal of the network
