Body

EMERGENCY CALLS
911 or 9-911 to reach Reno Emergency Dispatch

Follow these instructions to make phone calls on your office phone.

Campus to Campus Calls

Dial the last 5 digits of the recipients full phone number.

  • To call a 784 number from on campus, dial 4-XXXX.
  • To call a 327 number from on campus, dial 7-XXXX.
  • To call a 682 number from on campus, dial 2-XXXX.

Local Calls

Dial 9 + 7-Digit Number.

Long Distance Calls*

Dial 9 + 1 + Area Code + 7-Digit Number.

International Calls*

Dial 9 + 011 + Country Code + Phone Number.

Ignore the first digit of the phone number if it is "0". E.g. if the telephone number is 01223 456789 (UK), you would dial 9 + 011 + 44 + 1223456789.

*Most long distance and international calls require a Long Distance Access Code (LDAC). Access codes provide a means of controlling unauthorized use of phones and a mechanism for accounting for long-distance charges.
