Check Your Network Connection

To first determine whether you are having network connection issues on your office computer, check your network connection status (see instructions for PC or Mac).

If you are in fact experiencing network issues, test the following:

  1. Make sure that your Ethernet cable is plugged in securely at both ends
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Plug the Ethernet cord into a different port in the room to determine if it is a problem with the port
  4. Test your connection using a different Ethernet cable (if one is available) to determine if it is a problem with the cable
If you have networking issues that you are unable to resolve, please report an Ethernet issue

Restart the Computer

There's a reason that restarting a device is the most common recommendation. It often works. Restart your computer and see if the issue still persists.

Check for Updates

It is crucial to check your machine for updates and allow those updates to run fully. See below links for instructions.
