Body
Non-individual NevadaBox accounts enable groups, teams, departments, and organizations to leverage NevadaBox for collaboration on approved university data without tying ownership of the content to an individual's personal NevadaBox account. By implementing this, personnel changes within a department or group will not affect others' access to data on NevadaBox.
OIT has two types of non-individual NevadaBox accounts to provide departments, units, and groups a space to collaborate around data that belongs to the University or to a collection of people rather than to an individual. All institutional data in NevadaBox should be in folders owned by non-individual accounts.
Group Accounts
Project teams, committees and small university groups, in consultation with their IT and Data Managers, can utilize a Group Account.
- Anyone is able to request a Group Account, subject to approval.
- A designated co-owner is responsible for adding collaborators, account maintenance, and policy compliance.
Organization Accounts
NevadaBox Organization Accounts are intended for use by top-level university organizations such as an academic college, regional campus, school, or core administrative unit. To request an Organization Account, a request form must be completed and submitted.
- Requests must be made by the registered technical point of contact for the organization. The technical point of contact is the person responsible for inviting collaborators and maintaining the content within the folder.
- Only one account is permitted for each organization.
- A designated co-owner is responsible for adding collaborators, account maintenance, and policy compliance.
