This form is for incoming freshman for the upcoming Fall term.

If you are not an incoming freshman for the upcoming Fall term, you are not eligible to change your major using this form. 

You will need to set up an academic advising appointment with your assigned advisor for your major. Advisors information can be found at: https://www.unr.edu/academic-advising

• Scroll past the Navigate log-in if you do not have your NetID activated and you will select the college that houses your major.
  • I.e., Marketing major is within College of Business or Political Science major is within College of Liberal Arts

Important Information

• You cannot declare a minor or double major during this process. If you wish to declare either of those you will need to do so after Orientation with an Academic Advisor.
• This change of major form will close to incoming students on August 7th, 2026.  After this you will need to contact an advisor for your new major to change your major.
• Once students receive a device at distribution there will be no exchanges for a different device, regardless of major change.

By changing your major:

• Your academic advisor may adjust your Fall 2026 academic schedule to align with major requirements.
• The device you receive may be adjusted based on the college or major you are entering
