I am writing to support a temporary pay increase for Savitt Medical Librarian Morgan Choate in recognition of her work on the special assignment tentatively titled Nevada Medical Journal. This project involves responsibilities that require additional professional expertise, independent judgment, and sustained effort beyond her regular duties. In support of the journal, she has assumed responsibility for project coordination, editorial workflow oversight, and stakeholder communication, all of which involve an increased level of accountability and complexity. This work is time‑limited and project‑specific, and a temporary pay increase is an appropriate and equitable mechanism to acknowledge the additional workload and responsibility associated with this assignment.
