Software Purchasing and Using the Software Index

The University of Nevada, Reno and Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) have negotiated with software developers and resellers to obtain their software at a substantial savings which are then passed on to faculty and staff for use on their office computer.

Service pages for the most commonly requested software titles, applications, operating systems, and collaboration tools are presented in the Software Index. Where possible and applicable, OIT has compiled pricing and purchasing information, steps on requesting access, and links to online resources for most products on the list.

OIT supports only the current version and the previous version of campus licensed software as long as the vendor provides security updates for it.

The product I need is not on the list. How do I get assistance?

If you would like information on a software title that is not on the Software Index, please contact the OIT Support Center. You may also submit a ticket from the Software and Online Apps category or the Business Applications category, which will allow you to specify the software product or application.
