The following instructions will assist you in adding your @unr.edu email address into the Outlook or Mail app as well as removing existing email accounts on your iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) device. You must be connected to either Wifi or a cellular network (3G, 4G, LTE) to follow these instructions.
Accessing Your Employee Email Address Via Outlook on Your iOS Device
- Install the Microsoft Outlook App from the App Store and launch the Outlook App.
- Select Add Account.
- Enter your UNR employee email (NetID@unr.edu) and select the Add Account button.
- Enter your employee email password and select Sign in.
- An option will appear to add another email account. If you wish to add another account select the Let's Do It! button and follow the above steps again, otherwise select the Maybe Later button to continue.
- You may now access your email from the Outlook app on your iOS device!
Accessing your Employee Email via the Mail App on iOS
- Select the Mail app.
- Select the Microsoft Exchange option.
- In the Email field, enter your UNR employee email address. In the Description field, enter Exchange, then tap Next.
- You’ll receive a prompt asking if you’d like to sign in to your Exchange account using Microsoft. Tap the Sign In option.
- You will be redirected to the UNR Employee email login screen. Enter your NetID password.
- You will be asked to choose which items you’d like to sync with your device. The recommended method is leaving all toggles switched On, but at least select Mail. When you have finished adjusting your sync settings, tap Save.
You have successfully added your Exchange Online account to your iOS device!
Removing email accounts from an iOS Device

Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.

Tap the email account you want to remove, then do one of the following:

If you’re removing an iCloud email account: Tap iCloud, tap iCloud Mail, then turn off iCloud Mail.

If you’re removing another email account: Turn off Mail.
Note: To remove the email account from all apps on your iPhone, tap Delete Account.
