Scan to Email

The Canon SecurePrint machines on campus have the ability to scan a paper document into a PDF and email it to yourself in just seconds.

The One Touch Keys and Address Book have been disabled. Scanning is set to "Send to Myself" only due to security concerns.

How to Scan to Email on a Canon SecurePrint machine

  1. Log into the Canon SecurePrint machine. 
    Printer log in screen which indicates you should either swipe your ID card(WolfCard) or use the AD Login button on the lower right hand side which will allow you to log in with your 6-digit PIN.

    Note: You may be prompted to select a department on login. Be aware that all mobile print/copy/scan activity will be recorded against the selected department until you log out. Computer printing activity will be recorded against the department you selected on your computer through the uniFLOW Client.

  2. Pressing the Scan and Send icon on the home screen of the copier will bring you to the Send to Email page.

  3. Place the document you wish to scan on the glass or in the document feeder at the top of the machine. 
  4. Select the settings you would like to use for the scan:
    • Color
    • Copy Ratio
    • File Type
    • 2-Sided
    • The Options button provides additional copy functions

  5. Press the Send to Myself button to automatically email the scan to your @unr.edu email.
