Summary

Descriptions of the BlueWolf, SilverWolf, and SAS-Enabled DataWorks collections and information on how to access them.

Body

All members of the University can access the software titles found in the Dataworks labs via the remote DataWorks environment: DataWorks - Virtual Lab. In addition, special remote collections are available for students of the College of Business, the College of Engineering, and the College of Science.

To request access to a remote collection, request to add a software title to a desktop, or report an issue, visit the Virtual Desktops section of the service catalog. Please note: access to the DataWorks - Virtual Lab environment is granted automatically to all students, faculty, and staff.

DataWorks - Virtual Lab

DataWorks - Virtual Lab is a remote environment available to all active students, faculty and staff. It is designed to complement academic and instructional activities and includes numerous software titles to assist with such subjects as programming, mathematics, chemistry, geography, and more. It also includes the Microsoft Office Suite, all on a campus connection.

Access

Access to the DataWorks - Virtual Lab environment is granted automatically to all students, faculty, and staff. To report an issue or request to add a software title to the desktop, visit the Virtual Desktops section of the service catalog.

DataWorks - SAS

The DataWorks - SAS desktop is similar to DataWorks - Virtual Lab with the exception of having the SAS software suite available for faculty and students who require SAS for academic/instructional purposes.

Access

Access to the DataWorks - SAS desktop must be requested. Access for a specific course is granted for the duration of the semester. Other student access is granted for the duration of the calendar year.
