Wireless Troubleshooting Basics

Does your NetID Work?

Try logging into a computer on campus to see if your NetID credentials still work. If you are unable to log into a University computer, then this explains why you cannot access the wireless network. For further information, please see our section on NetID Troubleshooting

Restart the Computer

This may seem like a cliche, but restarting the computer can often fix network connection issues. Sometimes a computer won't connect because there is some temporary setting getting in the way. Restarting the computer can clear these temporary settings, often resulting in a successful connection.

Update Computer

It's important to ensure that you are current on all system updates. Some computers will not connect to our network if they are out-of-date.
